Russia: “We have captured the cities of Myrnohrad and Khuliyaipole in eastern Ukraine”

Moscow on Saturday (27/12) announced that Russian forces had captured the towns of Mirnohrad and Khuliaipole in eastern Ukraine.

According to a Kremlin statement, Russian President Vladimir Putin received a report from the chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, that “the towns of Dimitrov (the Russian name for Mirnohrad) and Khuliaipole have been liberated.”

Mirnohrad is located in Ukraine’s Donetsk region and Khuliaipole is in the eastern part of Zaporizhia region.
