In a major development from the battlefield, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, revealed in his weekly briefing that the first Russian units had entered the territory of the central Ukrainian region of Dnipropetrovsk.
These are Russian Spies
More specifically, the official stated that the first Russian reconnaissance groups managed to “penetrate” into the Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk region through the territory of Pokrovsk (which is located in Donetsk).
According to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Russian spies groups infiltrated Dnipropetrovsk with the ultimate goal of collecting useful information regarding the positions and movements of Ukrainian forces there. At the same time, they will attempt to identify vulnerabilities in the defensive lines of the Ukrainian army.
A few hours before Pushilin’s statements, another high-ranking Russian official revealed that the first Russian troops are indeed moving towards the borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
You understand that the issue is very important since we are dealing with the first time that Russian soldiers will set foot in this particular area.
According to military experts, this development will pave the way for Moscow’s army to seize countless new areas in central Ukraine, while helping it complete the operation to capture Donetsk.
For its part, Ukraine, through unofficial reports, seems to have confirmed attempts by Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to infiltrate the central part of the state.
“So far, all these attempts by Russian forces have been successfully thwarted,” a Ukrainian source said online.
In any case, it seems that the “Pandora’s box” has been opened for the Ukrainians and the Dnipropetrovsk region is currently under serious threat from the Russians. In the coming days, a Russian armored advance into the region may begin, raising alarm bells in the Ukrainian general staff and NATO headquarters.
