Russian paratroopers are advancing on Chasiv Yar

The Russian armed forces managed to advance deeper in the direction of Chasov Yar, approaching the strategic city located in the Donetsk region. At the same time, positions of the Ukrainian army are being pounded with TOS-1A thermobaric missile launchers.

More specifically, the Ukrainian defenders of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade King Daniel are trying tooth and nail to push back the Russian forces, which are much stronger.

The Russians, for their part, are doing their best to capture as quickly as possible this key city of Donetsk, which lies west of Bakhmut. Moscow’s military deployed paratroopers, special forces and ex-prisoners from Storm-V units in the Chasov Yar siege operations.

Right now the Russian army is attacking the city both frontally and laterally, trying to encircle it and find weak points in the Ukrainian defense lines.

A new Russian report describes how Russian efforts in the direction of Chasov Yar have taken hold, after the Kremlin army managed to advance in the Orlova region. Orlova is located north of the Kanal micro-region, which in turn is close to the aforementioned important Seversky Donetsk-Donbass Canal. Russian soldiers had entered the Kanal micro-district a few days ago.

The short-term goal of the Russians at this point is to reinforce their positions, capture strategic Ukrainian positions, and drive the enemy back, moving further closer to their ultimate objective, Chasov Yar.

It is even said that the Russians managed to acquire a bridgehead in the area of ​​Orlova near the canal.
