The Russians forced the Ukrainians to retreat to Rabotino and Chasov Yar

In the last 24 hours, it seems that the fiercest fighting in Ukraine took place in the areas of the Rabotino and Chasov Yar settlements. In Rabotino in southern Ukraine, the Russians managed to make progress, while in Chasov Yar, Russian forces are getting closer and closer to their target settlement.

Rabotino: Fierce Battles

More specifically and based on a Russian publication, in recent days the pressure exerted by the Russian army against the Ukrainian armed forces in the area of Rabotino and northwest of Verbovo is increasing day by day.

The publication highlights that a Russian unit managed to penetrate the Ukrainian defenses near the settlement. After fierce battles with the defenders, he managed to capture their positions and acquire a new bridgehead in the area.

The Russian military leadership noticed this “hole” in the Ukrainian defense line and sent more Russian reserves to the spot to hit the Ukrainian gap even harder. Russian artillery and air force continue to pound Ukrainian positions relentlessly, helping Russian frontline forces minimize their losses. Slowly but surely the Ukrainians are being forced back, allowing the Russians to advance deeper into the country.

The Siege of Chasov Yar

In Chasov Yar, the Russian media reports that the intensity of the fighting in this area has increased sharply in the last 24 hours. The Russian air force is playing a key role in the advance of Moscow’s ground units towards the settlement of Donetsk, which lies west of Bakhmut.

The Russian advance towards Chasov Yar was also confirmed by a spokesman for the Ukrainian armed forces, who complained about Russian aerial bombs destroying everything on the ground and opening the way for Russian assault groups.

After capturing the settlement of Bogdanovka near Bakhmut, Russian forces are almost ready to encircle Chasov Yar, dangerously tightening the noose for the Ukrainian army, which maintains many units in the area.

As in the case of Rabotino, the Russians are trying to steadily increase the pressure they put on the Ukrainian defenders at Chasov Yar so as not to give them time to resupply, rest and regroup.
