Zelensky finally “cracked” the Chief-of-Staff General V. Zaluzhny-Moving the capital to Lviv remains

Finally, the Russian advance in Avdiika also “seduced” the Ukrainian General Chief of Staff from his position. The end of the drama was given today by the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, for the head of the armed forces of his country, and the only thing that is probably left is to move the capital to Lviv, which would mean the partition of Ukraine.

His removal comes after speculation a rift between the president and General Zaluzny, who has been leading Ukraine’s war effort since February 2022, is linked to the failed summer offensive.

Literally all scenarios are open from the Ukrainian side, while many in the West and East want the war in Ukraine to stop, since because of this “the economy of the EU and the USA is bleeding, in which in a few months we have elections with Trump sweeping the few polls.

He recently said it was time to change the country’s military leadership in the midst of a war with Russia, replacing the head of the armed forces, Valery Zaluzny.

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said separately that the decision to change the military leadership has been made. The remarks came after days of speculation that Zelensky was considering ousting the popular Zaluzny, seen by many Ukrainians as a national hero, to oversee the war effort from February 2022.

Zelensky said in his statement that he had a meeting with Zaluzny. “We discussed what renewal the Armed Forces of Ukraine need. We also discussed who could be in the renewed leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The time for this renewal is now,” he said.

Zelensky asked the general to stay “with his team”, he added. In his own statement, Zaluzny said he had an “important and serious discussion” with Zelensky and that it was decided to change tactics and strategy on the battlefield.

“The tasks of 2022 are different from the tasks of 2024. Therefore, everyone must change and adapt to the new realities. To win and together,” he said.

The two statements were released within minutes of each other, suggesting that the two most prominent figures in the war in Ukraine had coordinated closely to make a show of unity. The military reshuffle comes at a difficult time for Ukraine on the battlefield, with troops facing a shortage of ammunition and crucial US military aid delayed.
