The city of Odessa has been left without electricity after a kamikaze drone attack launched by Russia last night, Ukrainian authorities announced. Local governor Maksim Marsenko stated that after the kamikaze drone attack almost all districts and communities in our region have been left without electricity and added that two of the drones were shot down by Ukrainian air defense.
The energy infrastructure in Kherson is damaged
Ukraine’s energy infrastructure around Kherson has been “virtually destroyed” by the withdrawal of Russian forces and the situation is “complicated” in Odesa, which is the target of bombings, Ukraine’s power grid operator Ukrenergo said.
The “successful project” of Ukraine’s air defenses prevented more Russian strikes from hitting their targets and causing further damage to the national power grid.
