Optimize Your Data Security
The Liberal Globe offers a selection of options for those interested in sending information, documents, and videos to the Liberal Globe team of investigative journalists. No system provides 100% security, but the specific tools offered make it possible to create a more secure and protected framework than those provided by standard communication channels. However, before you decide to use any of these tools, we recommend that you read the fine print carefully so that you can choose the best option for your communication needs. Additionally, before using one of these tools, we recommend that you follow the instructions below:
• Use a secure computer to contact us. When we say secure computer, we mean that computer that does not maintain corporate software or malware that could be used to record your activities.
• Prefer to use an operating system that maintains your privacy and anonymity, such as Tails.
• Delete the traces of communication stored on your computer, such as copies of messages or your secure code name assigned to the nature of the service.
• Run any files you send us through a metadata cleaning tool to minimize the risk of inadvertently sending information embedded in documents, such as the author’s name.
